Genkouyoushi

Genkouyoushi I've been learning to write in Japanese and genkouyoushi notebooks are expensive where I live so I decided to make a stencil that lets me make my own genkoyoushi grid. One square is 20mm x 20mm but I've included my SCAD files if someone wants to edit to have smaller or even bigger squares. The reason I settled on 20mm x 20mm is mainly because I wanted bit more space to practice my strokes and my eyesight isn't that great.

You can also use this to learn chinese, korean or any other language that has their own writing system that doesn't use the Latin alphabet.

The stencil is perfect size for A5 notebooks, but will also work for A4 and A3. A5 = 148.5 x 210 mm A4 = 297 x 210 mm A3 = 297 x 420 mm

The stencil with the horizontal lines is bit more flimsy due to there being only 10mm gap between each genkouyoushi's column so I do recommend pushing pencil tip away from those thin slats, not towards them.

The stencils were designed by using OpenSCAD and BOSL2-library.

Please feel free to share this, modify this and whatever, all I ask is to be given attribution.
